MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Dock Strike. DESCRIPTION: The Dock Strike started at Liverpool and quickly spread, the London docks were also involved. Troops were brought in to unload much needed imported goods. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Idle ships at Liverpool. At Liverpool stacks of pit-props, various shots of the above provincial docks idle. Also ships waiting to be unloaded of cargoes, cranes idle. Dockers attend meeting at Central Park, Birkenhead. In London, docks idle, ships awaiting unloading. Barges loaded with barrels also waiting to be unloaded. Lines of trucks (lorries) waiting to be loaded with cargoes. Soldiers working in London Docks, in hulls of ships, unloading meat, various shots of same.
