MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Paris Greets Monty. DESCRIPTION: Field Marshal Montgomery received the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour from General de Gaulle during his visit to Paris. At the Arc de Triomphe he laid a wreath to the fallen. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV Hotel des Invalides, tilt down to ground. De Gaulle & Monty saluting. French drummers march past. Cut-in crowds. De Gaulle presents Monty with Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour. De Gaulle then embraces Monty. Driving to the Arc de Triomphe with General Koenig, acknowledges cheers from crowds. Lays wreath on unknown warriors tomb. CU Tomb. Monty & rest saluting. Monty signs city book, crowds round him. Driving along the Champs Elysees, packed with Parisians cheering, waving etc., car out of camera to finish.
