MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Montgomery Addresses Belgians. DESCRIPTION: A large crowd gathered in the Grande Place, Brussels to hear Field Marshal Montgomery. Monty, who had been in the city to inspect troops and decorate officers, made a bi-lingual speech. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Belgian forces present arms. Belgian colours marched across square, Grande Place. Arrival of Montgomery, walks across square, inspects Belgian Forces. Presents DCMs., MCs., to several Belgian troops. CU Montgomery, SLS of Monty in centre of square making a speech, in French and English, "victory definitely ours, Germans paying the price etc." to finish. Cut-ins of Belgian Service Girls, also civilians listen to Monty’s speech.
