MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Emergency Coal. DESCRIPTION: People are finding it hard to understand why they cannot get coal in this bitter winter. Emergency dumps have been set up where fourteen pounds for sixpence may be purchased and taken away as best you can. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Snow-covered avenue. Interior shots of people buying sixpenny coal coupons enabling them to get 14lbs of coal. Exterior shots of coal dump with coal being issued to people, some rather elderly women. Various shots of queues. CU coal being shot into sacks. Finish on coal being pushed away in Borough of Westminster Dust-Cart by several people including a policeman.
