- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: German Newsreels on Hitler’s Escape. DESCRIPTION: Pictures show the room in which the alleged attempt on Hitler’s life was made. The bomb killed and wounded everybody except the Fuehrer. At Tannenberg Marshal Goering presided over the funeral of General Korten, Chief of Hitler’s general staff, who was allegedly killed in the explosion. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS Wrecked room in which the alleged attempt on Hitler’s life was made. Pan of room. Hitler visits hospital, sees wounded, various shots of him standing by beds. Goering, at Tannenberg, attends funeral of General Korten, elevated shots of Goering laying wreath at foot of coffin, various shots of paraded soldiers, also coffin being carried away. MS many batoned Field Marshals. Mussolini out of train, greeted by Hitler, Hitler is shaking hands with right hand, left supposed to be injured. Graziani is present. Various of Reich Ministers, including Guderian, Ribbentrop, Goebbels & Himmler, Speer.
