Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Glories of the Wehrmacht. DESCRIPTION: Film from captured newsreels shows Colonel Remer and the Berlin Garrison. Also men of the "Landwacht" the German equivalent of the Home Guard which is now trying to fill the gaps in the German ranks. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Nazi soldiers paraded, presenting arms. Colonel Remer, marches through lines of Nazi soldiers giving Nazi salute. CU of Remer addressing German troops. Nazi soldiers goose-stepping, in marchpast, Remer takes salute. Various shots of goose-stepping. Elevated shot of men of the "Landwacht" (Home Guard) parading with regulars. Various pans of types, & marchpast of same. At the Front Line, shots of Germans retreating on all kinds of transport, bullocks drawing broken-down lorries, carts, etc. American soldiers in Jeep take charge of prisoners from FFI. More troops come in, some in carts, others on bikes. CU flat tyre of lorry. Last shot is German soldiers rides in on donkey.
