MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Princess Elizabeth Opens Sailors Home. DESCRIPTION: The Queen and Princess Elizabeth recently carried out a number of engagements in Aberdeen. While the Queen visited wounded soldiers, the Princess opened a Sailors Home. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Crowds cheer, wave, as Queen & Princess Elizabeth alight from car. Interior shots Queen & Princess Elizabeth walking round Torry Nursery School. Watch children at play, Queen & Princess Elizabeth both presented with posies from children. Queen & Princess leave. Interior shots Queen inspecting wounded soldiers at Woodend Hospital; meanwhile the Princess is opening Sailors Home. Princess Elizabeth alights from car, greeted by Lord Inverclyde, introduced to Earl of Airley, & Admiral Sir Lionel Wells. Princess Elizabeth inspects Rangers, & Sea Rangers. Small child breaks through police, runs across road, escorted back by policeman. Princess Elizabeth talks to several sailors, outside Home. Interior shots shows Lord Inverclyde making an address. SCU & CU of Princess Elizabeth making a speech prior to officially opening the Sailors Home. Weather - Raining.
