- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: On the 14th Army Front. DESCRIPTION: The Commander in South East Asia, Lord Louis Mountbatten, recently paid a visit to the Imphal front where he inspected men of the Fourteenth Army. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Various shots of Lord Louis Mountbatten inspecting British & Colonial troops of the 14th Army, various pans of troops, also showing many wearing the Military Medal or DCMs. Lord Louis addresses troops, gathered round him. CU Lord Louis. Shots of typical Maipur village, shows natives seated around in circles. Hurricane take off - just after, various shots of Hurricanes getting into formation & setting off. Aerial shots of formation passing over country, aerial shots of target (temple where Japs are), bombs fall on target, explosions, also few bridges bombed. Direct hits scored on temple. Back at aerodrome, Hurricane lands, taxies & CU tip of wing to finish. Lord Louis also inspects captured Japanese tanks.
