MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Towards the Gothic Line. DESCRIPTION: The latest pictures from Italy shows the Eighth Army occupying Arezzo, fifty-four miles South East of Florence. On the fifth army front there were Bastille Day celebrations in the historic town of Siena which were attended by Generals Alexander, Clark and Juin. SHOTLIST: Cut story - GS. AFU - Shermans pass through streets of Arezzo, various shots also "Arezzo" on wall. Tanks pass through narrow streets. Various shots of New Zealand infantry along country roads in and out of camera. In Seina, French and American troops paraded for celebrations of Bastille Day. Italian civilians wear medieval costumes as worn at Pallio. Various shots of the above, all angles. MS of Juin, Alexander and Clark, also saluting. Shots of French girls and troops march past.
