Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: America Over Berlin - Berlin Raided in Daylight. DESCRIPTION: The very big news of the moment is the American daylight bombing of Berlin. The ‘Flying Fortress’ and ‘Liberators’ were escorted to their targets by long-ranger fighters. Berlin, already battered by the night raids of the RAF, found itself rocked and shattered by day. SHOTLIST: Cut story - MS Yank pointing to damaged "Fort". GV crew assembled in front of "Fort". Colonel Thorpe making speech. Asks other members to voice their opinion of the trip over Berlin. Colonel asks men if they would like to go again - men cheer. Aerial of Flying Fortresses in formation above clouds. "Forts" flying through flak. Condensation trails. Aerials of target and explosions. "stills" of smoke from target.
