- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Humour Behind the Lines (Tommy Trinder in Italy). DESCRIPTION: Tommy Trinder recently arrived at the "Garrison Theatre" in Foggia, Italy to entertain the men of the Eighth Army. SHOTLIST: Cut story - TS Tommy Trinder arriving at Theatre in a Jeep, crowds of soldiers outside. Italian Civilians watch from balcony. Trinder in centre of troops cracking gags etc. Gag about why he’s not in battle-dress, also if the Germans caught him, they were entitled to shoot him. Makes remark "Good afternoon rich people". Cut-in American troops ride past in buggy, he then goes on to make some remarks about the Yanks. Another gag was "What to do with Christmas Pudding". GV Troops singing "When They Sound the Last All Clear" accompanied by a piano accordion.
