Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Animals at War. DESCRIPTION: In training in Virginia are fighting dogs known as the K9 Corps. In the forests of Assam the elephants work at moving large pieces of timber. SHOTLIST: Dogs at Front Royal, Va being led through smoke screen, by sailors. Several dogs chained bark & bite at sailors as they tease them with various things, including flaming sticks. Two fight by car, the "enemy" knocks opponent down, jumps into car, trained dog runs up, jumps into car, tussles with "enemy" who jumps out of car, GS of him laying on ground guarded by dog. This is at the Barracks of Uncle Sam’s famous K9 Corps. Elephants in forest in Burma [sic], pulling, pushing, with their tusks, great tree trunks. Elephants push trunks onto lorries. Elephants hauling & pushing artillery up steep incline. Baby elephant stand by its mother.
