Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: They Meet and Agree in Moscow. DESCRIPTION: Mr Cordell Hull of America and Mr Eden travel to Moscow for a conference to be greeted by Mr Molotov. After ten days of talks the signing of the Agreement takes place. SHOTLIST: Cut story - M Molotov with group of British delegates walk across aerodrome, await arrival of Mr Eden. GS of representative flags fly together. Curtiss plane lands - Cordell Hull out, shakes with M Molotov and others. Liberator lands - Mr Eden out and shakes with Molotov and Clark-Kerr, Hull, etc. GS of Guard of Honour of Russian troops marching past (very good). Travelling shot as cars approach building at which conference is to take place, cars along drive and under flags flying together. MS Eden in grounds and GS various groups, in one of these is Marshal Voroshilov. GS of signees walk up stairs to conference room (exterior). Interior shot of conference table. CUs of Molotov, and Hull signing, followed by CU of Eden signing, then Fu-Bin-Chai signing. GS Fu-Bin-Chai shakes with Hull; Hull and Molotov shake. Back in London (Paddington Station) Eden out of train. CU kissing his wife, also shakes with Mr Gusev, and GS of Eden, his wife and Mr Richard Law. CU Eden.
