Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Parades & Inspections - ATS & Boys Brigade. DESCRIPTION: The London District of the Boys’ Brigade had their Diamond Jubilee Parade in the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle. The Auxiliary Territorial Service marked its fifth Anniversary with a Church Parade and Service at Westminster Abbey. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Elevated shot of the King, Queen & Princess Elizabeth, on stand in quadrangle of Windsor Castle, march past of Boys Brigade. GS of inspection by Royal Family, Queen with Princess speaking (silent) to various players of the band. In London, Horse Guards Parade, elevated shot of ATS paraded on same. Marching past Houses of Parliament, entering Westminster Abbey, also shot of Queen entering Abbey. Various angle shots of ATS marching down the Mall, marching is excellent, marching into camera, Admiralty Arch in background. Cuts - Various shots of march past of Boys Brigade, & GS of parade. At Horse Guards Parade, ATS brought to attention & marched off. Band leading them, also there was an ATS band, various LS of ATS during march. Travelling shot overtaking parade at Marlborough Gate. Girls entering Abbey between Guard of Honour. Queen’s car arrives at Abbey, Mrs Churchill & Mrs Randolph Churchill entering Abbey. March past at Buckingham Palace on the stand is the Queen, Princess Royal, Mr Grigg & Mrs Jean Knox (ATS Commandant).
