- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: England Trounces Scotland 8 - 0. DESCRIPTION: Manchester was the venue for the International match between England and Scotland. The victory was England’s by eight goals to nil, four of them being scored by Lawton. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Teams running out into camera. GS of toss up. Elevated shot of kick off, also of play, Hagan receives ball from Lawton & scores, next goals were in the order of Lawton. Carter & Lawton (2). The fifth goal before half time being scored by Lawton (3). Teams walking off. Second half, cut-ins of crowds & shot of Scotsman in ‘tammies’ (hat). Matthews running down wing with ball, tripped, penalty taken by Carter, which Crozier stopped, Hagan scores again, Lawton makes his fourth, Matthews scores (first time he has scored for England in five years).
