MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: England Beats Wales 8-3. DESCRIPTION: England takes on Wales at Wembley in the presence of Mr Attlee. The result was a resounding victory for England by eight goals to three. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Teams come out, led by England. Mr Attlee shakes hands with teams. Elevated shot of teams just before ‘kick-off’. Elevated shot of Kick Off. Cullis and Jones toss. Various shots of play. Also all eleven goals shown in the scoring of same. Last goal being penalty taken by Welsh. Cut-ins of Mr Bevin in stand, and CU of Mr Alexander. Physical Training demonstration at half-time. Sidlow (Wales) makes some fine saves. Finish on scoreboard which shows 8-3. This is a record score for Wembley. Pan of stadium, shows crowd. Teams: England - AW Roxburgh (Goalkeeper), L Scott (Arsenal), GF Hardwick (Middlesbrough).
