You may even had occasion to remark on my capacity for taking pain. With over 25% of medical bags in Great Britain on active service abroad, we of the Home Front have been obliged to undertake not only our usual work but that of our colleagues. But the public can save us from wasting time and petrol. Just phone before 10 in the morning. This will give the doctor the opportunity to plan his rounds. Instead of being called out several times during the day to the same district. Secondly the contents of this matter effects me personally. Describe to him as best you can what is wrong. I shall know then what to carry. Third and most important, make sure he can find your house, so be careful that your directions are clear. If you can come and see him rather than ask him to see you so much the better. But best of all let us hope that the need for either contingency sir will never arise. I wish you very good health."
