MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: King & Queen in Scotland. DESCRIPTION: A Nursery Centre and a Miners Rest Home were amongst the places visited by Their Majesties during their tour of Scotland. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Elevated shot of George Square, Glasgow shows Civil Defence paraded. Car arrives, King & Queen out. Inspecting CD. Shots of crowds standing in rain. Queen carrying umbrella, Royal car makes way through crowds. Crowds clamour to get view of same. Royal car arrives at Coatbridge, K&Q out of car enter Nursery Centre. Interior shows Q watching child on rocking horse, speaks to nurses (silent). At Miners Rest Centre, Gleneagles, shots inside Orthopaedic Room, also Occupational Therapy Room. Royal car leaves Rest Centre. At Blairhall Colliery, Nr. Dunfermline. K&Q speak to various miners & Queen standing next to pithead pony. K&Q At Leith Dockyard, crowds on quayside. King salutes & the "King" is played. King & Q up gangway frigate, shakes hands with receiving officers. Shot on board ship, & K&Q down gangway to awaiting car.
