MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Air War Takes Toll. DESCRIPTION: Increasing heavy blows in the Allied cause are new being struck by the various American Air forces in all theatres of war. SHOTLIST: Cut Story - Formation (over camera) of Flying Fortresses, & into camera. GS of Flying Fortress. Aerial shot of Vegesack, Germany, & puffs of ack ack coming into camera, heavy flak, very good. Fighters (German) believe they are FW190’s attacking bombers, this is once again I believe the first pictures we have of actual attack, Fighter into camera, with wheel shot off. Forts, interior firing their guns, Forts over camera, bombs falling (aerial) followed down & hitting targets. Mitchells over target in Pacific, dropping bombs & hits registered, two Mitchells crash landing, very good shots, one SV, the other in & GS - dust forming over plane & then clearing.
