- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Tunis Victory Parade. DESCRIPTION: To mark the total elimination of the Axis from Tunisia a victory parade was held. Most of the leaders responsible for the success of Allied arms attended the parade. SHOTLIST: Cut story - MS of French, US & Union Jack flying side by side. SCU Highland Division playing bagpipes, and doing slow march to same. CU & GS of Tedder; MS General Alexander & Anderson & Admiral Cunningham. Generals Giraud & Eisenhower. Giraud & Eisenhower past camera, followed by General Alexander to stand. GS of stand shows Alexander, Anderson. Cunningham, Tedder, Juin, Giraud, Eisenhower & Mr Macmillan. GS of the above, inspecting Guard of Honour of British, French & American troops. GS of street with stand background, procession led by French Military Band, followed by French troops. Cut of stand, all officers saluting, crowds on sidewalk. Armoured cars passing. CU Lorraine Cross. US Band, followed by American troops. British troops led by drum major, throwing drum stick in the air & performing, etc., followed by British band & troops. Cut-in General Eisenhower, Giraud & Anderson. Tank Corp marching past & British troops. Boston flying in formation & overhead, also Spitfires. RAF Personnel march past. Sherman tanks in march past, followed by Churchill tank into camera and past. GS of stand after march past shows CU General Eisenhower & Anderson. CU General Eisenhower, Anderson & Giraud. Eisenhower has cigarette in his mouth.
