Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Blitzing of Essen. DESCRIPTION: On the night of 5th March the RAF carried out intensive bombing of the industrial city of Essen. Heavy damage was inflicted on the Krupps Factory and the surrounding area. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Various aerial night shots of fires burning, including Krupps Armament Factory. After effects of German shell hitting one of descending incendiaries, screen one white flame, gradually diminishing to cobweb shape. Several aerial daylight shots of Krupps.
