MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Russian Supplies and Counter Attack. DESCRIPTION: The loss of large areas of agricultural land has greatly threatened the harvest in Russia. The Red Army continues to fight with vigour to counter the Germans. The pictures show fighting from the Voronezh region where the German thrust to the Don was halted. SHOTLIST: Cut Story. Camels pulling hay-carts across fields. Men working in cornfields. Looking down on men. CU girl and tractor. Large threshing machine at work. CU Corn. Armoured train along track - various shots. CU Corn thrown from thresher. Camels pulling hay carts. Russians parading in large field. Lt General Rokossovsky holding flag. He hands it to Commissar Lebatchev. Officers looking through binoculars, artillery gun firing. Scattered about fields. Hurricanes in flight. Tank over country into camera. Hurricane takes off and into camera. Hurricane in flight. Bombs falling and hitting targets. Aerial shots of countryside. Troops advancing over fields. Dead Germans lying beside burning tanks etc.
