- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Harvesting. DESCRIPTION: Britain has responded magnificently to the Government’s agricultural policy and there is now six million more acres under crops than before the war. This year looks like being a record harvest. SHOTLIST: Long shot cornfield in foreground, countryside background. Corn being stacked in heaps. Tractor into camera. Girls arriving for work, jumping off van which has conveyed them CU. Girls powdering faces, combing hair and washing up. CU girls lined receiving meals. CU Food being ladled out of pot onto plates. CU Thrasher at work. CU Machine known as "Combine" thrashes corn. CU corn after thrashing. CU waste falling onto ground again. CU Ears of corn falling into bags, bags then sliding off tractor onto ground.
