- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Commando Plane Crashes. DESCRIPTION: At Buffalo, New York a giant Curtiss "Commando" transport plane makes a successful belly landing. SHOTLIST: Shot of Curtiss Commando plane in flight. Curtiss approaching aerodrome flying low over station emergency car. Plane begins to land but wheels will not lock therefore will not take weight, they touch ground and immediately turn up, machine belly lands, which was a marvellous landing (this is an excellent photograph). It tears up the ground but keeps upright. Ground staff & Officers standing round plane, staff being to rope machine off from crowd, there are cars, emergency vans standing round.
