A237/4 AFU 295ft. Scenes of artillery firing and the shells bursting on the road to Alamein. Shots of shells bursting on the horizon among our tanks, from enemy guns. Our 25’s go into action with crews from the Royal Horse Artillery and South Africans. Shots of an Italian gun position after we had captured it. Dead Italians lie around the gun, whose muzzle has been spiked. Our troops search the corpses for identification and then bury them. The Royal Horse Artillery Major has a conference in the desert and then a column of armoured cars sets out for an offensive all on its own. An Australian Division moves up to attack with artillery, lorries, limbers and AA guns, bren-carriers and tanks of the Crusader class. Shots of an aerodrome, where Baltimore Bombers are bombed-up ready for an attack. They take-off and fly in formation. There are aerial shots including one very good one of a machine-gunner firing. Most of the bombing is done at high altitudes. They come down low to drop incendiary bombs and inspect the wreckage of a Heinkel III.
