MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: American Bombers Operating in New Guinea. DESCRIPTION: American bombers carry out a dawn raid against enemy targets at Lae, New Guinea. SHOTLIST: In the early morning, American bombers prepare to go into action against the Japanese. General Scanlon and Royce speed the fliers on their mission. Shots of Jap. planes in the air (cuts). One of the planes piloted by Lt Colonel Divine had its hydraulic landing gear shot away and makes and emergency landing. He saves both plane and crew in a ‘belly’ landing.
