Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: First Lord Visits Submarine Depot Ship. DESCRIPTION: Mr Alexander, the First Lord, and Admiral Sir Max Horton visit a submarine base. SHOTLIST: First Lord of the Admiralty, Mr AV Alexander visits a Submarine training ship, where he is welcomed by Admiral Sir Max Horton. They travel in a motor boat and inspect Submarine personnel. (Used in conjunction with this story were scenes of Submarine training, which showed old type submarines and show interior views of a commander using periscope, engine rooms, torpedo tubes, etc. One shot may come in useful for shot of submarine submerging and then with the periscope cleaving through the water.)
