- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Battle of Freedom Pageant Albert Hall. DESCRIPTION: The Albert Hall is the venue for the pageant which as organised by the Daily Express. Representatives of every service in the Empire, as well as Allied and United Nations took part. Lt Laurence Olivier gave the dedication which ended with an exhortation to work and fight for victory. SHOTLIST: 1. Marine band and sailors counter marching. 2. WRNS, WAAFS and ATS enter Arena. 3. ATS marching display. 4. General views of women’s and civilian services filling Arena. 5. Lt Esmond Knight, RNVR (Blinded in Bismark Battle), recites "Carillon". 6. Whole house sings "Jerusalem". 7. Oration by Lt Laurence Olivier, RNVR (Air Arm). 8. Flags and men of Dominions and United Nations. 9. Australia, Malta, New Zealand, France, USA, Russia. 10. God save the King.
