Summary
Pathe synopsis: The Tors of our own Dartmoor are rather smaller volcanic outcrops: lumps of granite scoured by centuries of wind and weather into shapes that look almost man-made. Dartmoor is a plateau which spans hundreds of square miles. One of Britain’s most beautiful national parks with not a strip of golden sand in sight, it has become a popular Devon holiday playground, incorporating the majesty of the Highlands with the west country’s own inimitable charms. Every season cloaks it with vastly different, yet always appealing charms. But, at whatever time of year, the pony here is the symbol of all that’s untamed and unspoiled.
