Summary

Gaiety Bar. Pathe synopsis: They’re laying on some of that good old fashioned entertainment at today’s gin palace counterpart - a London pub. In an age of constant change we still clamour for the so-called splendours of the past and at the Gaiety Bar in London they’re catering for our whims. The decor is Edwardian and there’s traditional food served in traditional ways, like fish and chips in paper. Add a touch of honky-tonk music, a false walrus moustache for every man, and counter-top cabaret - and you’ve-opted out of the space age and crept back to the naughty-nineties. So bring on the dancing girls, and complete the evening with the high-kicking music of the Can-Can.
