Summary
Pathe synopsis: They’re keeping up with the changes at the HMS Vernon shorebase in Portsmouth, where the Navy have installed a life-saving rescue tank for their pilots. The Air Crew Underwater Escape Trainer is designed to simulate a helicopter crash in the sea. You sink in a capsule, take a last deep breath, then fight your way out. They also go through escape routines in a mock-cockpit for fixed-wing aircraft sea escapes. A frighteningly realistic rehearsal.
