Summary
Pathe synopsis: Authenticity is something that Andrew Brown, a violinist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, is continually striving for. He’s made a life-time study of rare and old instruments and, in his Streatham home, he re-creates these weird and wailing music makers of long ago. He plays us a tune on the vielle, which came to England with William the Conqueror, and the Welsh Crwth, developed from the Hebrew lyre, and we’re hearing history.
