Summary
Pathe synopsis: Cunard’s marine engineers were worried about the Queen Mary’s loss of speed until they realised it was seaweed, limpets and other underwater hangers-on holding her back. So they put her in dry dock and set to scraping her hull, and when you see her high and dry you’ll know that’s a big problem. But in the end this far-from-routine turn-around broke all the records and her ocean-going-majesty set sail again - right on schedule.
