Summary
Pathe synopsis: The Venice of the Cotswolds. That’s what visitors call the picture-postcard village of Bourton-on-the-Water. But there’s nothing Venetian about the residents of nearby Birdland, where flamingoes, macaws, penguins and parrots are among the 600 birds who actually appreciate freedom in this luxury zoo. Many of them are free to come and go as they wish in the Birdland paradise which Len Hill created in 1956, but George, the macaw, and Juno, the African grey parrot, prefer to stay around and entertain visitors with a series of party tricks.
