MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Republican Day in Ankara. DESCRIPTION: There was a big parade in Ankara to celebrate the eighteenth year of the Turkish Republic. SHOTLIST: Ambassadors arrive including Sir Hugh Knatchbull-Hugesson, von Papen and the representatives of Russia and Japan. The President arrives and there is a close-up of the Turkish flag. The President speaks (CU) and then troops, parachute troops, aircraft, guns and other equipment pass in review. (The paratroops "drop" in review).
