Summary
Pathe synopsis: Swinging from the trees on his father’s farm in Norfolk gave young Peter Brasnett the idea of earning his living as an aerial gymnast. He was a mere ten years old then, but now at twenty-two he has achieved his ambition. Under his professional name, Leone, he consstantly risks his life on a 50 ft.-high trapeze, although the high spot of his thrilling act is performed on top of a 90 ft. mast without any kind of safety net.
SHOTLIST: (Battersea Gardens). MS Leonie preparing for his act. He has in his mouth a strap with a hook on the end of it. LS Leonie starts to climb the mast. MS Leonie on the trapeze. LS Leonie on the trapeze, he has only one foot on the bar, he swings himself up on to the trapeze. MS Leonie performing on trapeze, he is doing the same action as before using only one foot etc. MS Leonie on the trapeze, he swings himself up onto the bar and balances on his stomach without holding on. MS Leonie as he turns over and hangs down holding on with one arm. LS Leonie as he is spinning supported only by his teeth. MS onlooker, camera pans to show Leonie as he begins to climb to the top if the mast. LS Leonie holding on by one hand at the top of a 90 ft mast. He swings slowly round in a semi-circle. MS onlookers, camera pans to show Leonie doing a hand balance. MS Leonie sitting on top of the mast, he starts swaying from side to side. MS Leonie climbs down the pole and reaches the ground. CU he takes milk from tray. CU as he drinks the milk.
