MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Desert Offensive. DESCRIPTION: News that the fresh offensive, had begun and was going according to plan after long and careful preparation thrilled the Empire. The Navy again aided by bombarding the coast and the Air Force struck at enemy shipping. SHOTLIST: Shots of tanks smashed by our forces earlier and then shots of the American tanks which are now in use. Shots of Matildas close-ups and General Cunningham and his brother, the Admiral. Shots of cruisers and destroyers bombarding and shots of destroyers in the Mediterranean (41511). Blenheims in formation and the sinking of supply ships. New scenes of Marylands with AA fire in the distance. Shots of explosions from library and the wreck of Axis ships. More tanks advancing.
