- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Americans and British in Iceland. DESCRIPTION: American troops have joined the British in Iceland. Iceland is a vital part of the "bridge" across the Atlantic on which comes so many of the supplies vital to the war effort. SHOTLIST: Troops and Marines disembark from American transports and go ashore. General Bonesteel (C-in-C US Forces) and General Curtis meet and a guard is inspected. Stores and landed and there are several scenic shots showing the hot-springs. Also shots of the washing, drying and a statue of the first settler. Marines eating and an excellent settler. Marines eating and an excellent scene which shows sentries mounting guard with a background of typical landscape. Good shots of branded american food supplier.
