- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: British Meet Russians in Persia. DESCRIPTION: British Indian troops including Gurkhas meet up with Soviet troops on a lonely road outside Kazvin. In Tehran the German Embassy was closed, but there was still signs of German propaganda in the shops. SHOTLIST: British, Indian and Gurkha troops advance on Tehran. Good shots of Tehran and of the Statue of the Shah of Persia. British Troops advance on the road to where the Soviet Armoured Car was stationed and they shake hands and exchange greetings. The Officer in charge of the Russian party fires a Very light to show the meeting had been carried out. Shots of the German Embassy in Tehran. Russian and Indian soldiers go sentry-go while the Allied Ministers conferred. Shots of German Propaganda papers.
