Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Lord Halifax Leaves for the USA. DESCRIPTION: Mr and Mrs Churchill bid farewell to Lord and Lady Halifax. Lord Halifax our new Ambassador to Washington travels to the USA on the battleship ‘King George the Fifth’. SHOTLIST: Lord and Lady Halifax, accompanied by Mr and Mrs Churchill, leave for the USA by drifter from a East Port. They go aboard to find Mr Churchill already on the bridge. The second stage is by Admiral’s Barge to the new Battleship "King George V", where Mr and Mrs Churchill take their leave of the new ambassador and his wife. Mr and Mrs Churchill then leave for the shore in the barge.
