Summary
The anti-war in Vietnam protest march was a massive magnet which drew protestors from all over the country. It was a day which Londoners had dreaded for weeks. Past experience had shown that bitter violence could take control, but this demonstration, which dwarfed all previous ones, didn’t turn out that way. A major percentage of marchers avoided all violence - only a splinter group of hot-head agitators stormed towards the American Embassy. They were repelled by police. There was violence. We show scenes of fighting because they happened. But it is good to know that the majority seek peace through peace.
