Summary
Another spectacle. One that’s becoming increasingly familiar and resulting in an ever more predictable end - a rally for peace in Vietnam. Several thousand gathered in Trafalgar Square. All was well, all was peaceful. And then they marched on the American Embassy in Grosvenor Square. As before, in amongst the marchers were thugs, hooligans and trouble makers. They made trouble. Outnumbered police acted with commendable restraint to curb the violence, but it was another ugly day for London.
