Speeding the return to the UK of British troops is the new Army freighter "Sir Tristam" a roll-on double-decker vessel with accommodation for 16 tanks, 40 trucks and 370 men. Ships like the "Sir Tristam" are replacing conventional landing vessels and troop transporters.
