Summary

For 27 years since those dramatic days of the Battle of Britain the nation has honoured the heroism of the young men who took to the skies to fight for our freedom. But there were others too, whose part in that historic chapter must also be remembered. The women who took up the challenge and built the planes that conquered the Nazis. Today the challenge for Britain’s place in a world of technology has fired that same spirit of enthusiasm in thousands of young people who, have taken up the new Battle for Britain.
