Summary

The ‘Tiger’ talks failed. Rebel leader, Ian Smith returned to Salisbury, but as the deadline time for a definite ‘yes or no’ decision was reached, the world knew that Mr Wilson’s peace bid had failed, not it was up to the United Nations Security Council to inflict measures which it is hoped will bring Rhodesia back in line.
