Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Byrd Expedition Reaches "Little America". DESCRIPTION: Admiral Byrd’s third South Polar expedition reaches the Bay of Whales. SHOTLIST: The ‘North Star’ noses her way through the ice into the Bay of Whales give them a welcome to tossing and turning. A tractor gets stuck down a crevasse. Seals are trapped in a net, the plane is prepared and erected supervised by Admiral Byrd himself. Some dogs fall into another crevasse and then the snow-cruiser is unloaded, penguins watch.
