- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Russo-Finnish War, 1940 (after Suomussalmi). DESCRIPTION: Despite the rigors of sub-zero temperatures the Finns fight on in defence of their homeland. AFTER THE VICTORY - The scenes after the great Finnish victory at Suomussalmi. BEHIND THE STUBBORN MANNERHEIM LINE - In the south the Finns have continued to beat off attacks on the Mannerheim Line. SHOTLIST: The wounded are brought in and are attended to in hospital. One man had a bullet go right through him and out of his back while another is treated for frostbite. The troops wash with snow while fires rage everywhere. The wreckage of a Russian plane. The Finns have captured a multiple machine gun which is used by the ever watchful crew. In the "Waistline" dead Russians and many tanks bear witness to the Red defeat. In the South, near the Mannerheim Line, a well camouflaged gun fires.
