- Summary
- Tarnopol which held out against Russian troops since March 9th fell on April 15th to forces of the First Ukrainian front after stubborn street fighting. The German garrison of 16,000 men was wiped out, except for 2,400 who surrendered. Film shows ruined and burning houses, Russian troops advancing into town, street fighting, house clearing, German corpses and prisoners.
