Farming Case Study, A: Part 2
- Synopsis
- A detailed two-part series charting the year on a large arable and pig rearing enterprise. The main focus is the 1300ha (3200 acre) arable operation, but the programmes also touch on the pigs and use archive images to illustrate some of the farm’s fascinating history.
Part two begins half way through harvest and deals with cultivations, drilling and sugar beet harvesting. It’s mostly heavy land and wheat, barley, oilseed rape and sugar beet are the main crops. Although most machinery used is from the Case IH stable a variety of other makes are shown with over 40 machines featured in total. - Language
