Synopsis: A two-video package designed to show the main skills and processes involved in managing people at work, from managing performance to dealing with grievances. Designed as a primer, rather than an in-depth treatment of the many issues it raises, the package will help pinpoint users’ further training needs. Video 1 is built around the ‘VOICE’ acronym, summing up the essential skills for managing people: Vision; Organisation; Involvement; Communication; Enquiring. Video 2 concerns the more challenging situations which are bound to crop up sooner or later. The pckage provides a concise overview of the subject and helps identify the areas where effectiveness can be improved. The videos can be used for self-study or delivery by a facilitator, and are accompanied by a printed training manual with sources of further learning.
